Moses!

Everybody was very excited in the church office on Tuesday by our new arrival Moses the frog!!! One of our tadpoles has metamorphosed into a tiny frog!

We have called him Moses because it means "I have pulled him out of water!" Check out the story of his namesake in Exodus Chapter 2.

Big Toddle at Ready Steady Go!

Thank you to everyone who looked so stunning in their fairy tale and nursery rhyme costumes for our sponsored Big Toddle around St. Mary's in aid of Barnardo's.
We had a whole pantomime cast of knights, fairies and princesses; a hungry caterpillar, a pirate, Red Riding Hood's grandma and a couple of big bad wolves; a clock with a mouse, Incy Wincy Spider, and the crocodile from "Row,Row Your Boat"; not to mention a bumble bee, a fairy godmother, the Gruffalo's child, Little Bo Peep and a few superheroes!

We will continue to explore fairy stories and rhymes through next week and look forward to our Fairy Tale Bake Sale on Thursday 4th July to raise more money for Barnardo's.

Deeper "Down in the Jungle" with Ready Steady Go!

We are pretending to head off deeper into the jungle this week - Our role play will be a jungle expedition and we will be making jungle collages, Rangoli patterns with healthy foods, doing string painting with exotic colours etc .

We will have to make some maps for our adventures and we will try out physical challenges as we find different ways to move through "the jungle". We will also go exploring around the churchyard to follow our maps & listen and look out for interesting features .
