Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored our children for this year’s Big Toddle. We raised £292 for Barnardo’s.
Our children have been “into” pirates all year and a pirate themed toddle was a lovely way to finish off the term.
Staff and children dressed up as pirates for the day, made themselves tattoos (with face paints!) and maps and telescopes before setting off to “toddle” around the churchyard and then returning to the pre-school garden for “seaside sports”. These included making waves with the parachute, running sea creature themed races, walking the plank and finishing off with a game of “Fish, fish, shark”!
They were very proud of their medals and the “Toddle” song is so popular we will probably use it on a regular basis in our daily routine.
