The Kingdom of God invades hostile territory. The gospel will always be an offence. We can be nice about it, and emphasise the benefits, but to an independent world it is abuse to proclaim the cross. You must die that you may live under Jesus.
Those that wish to experience the Kingdom of God have to push past the unbelief and cynicism of a critical world. Blind Bartimeus, the woman with the issue of blood, Mary Magdalene in front of the Pharisees, Peter jumping out of the boat: all of them pressed in against an unbelieving world.
Are you comfortable in the culture of this world or pressing in to the supernatural kingdom of heaven?
